Job DescriptionThe Security Specialist works under the direction of the Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to provide administrative and operational support to multiple IC customer programs in a large, multiprogram, secure facility. This position supports implementing and maintaining compliance with US Government and Corporate Security policies and procedures. The Security Specialist helps to protect people, information, and property in support of program and mission objectives.Duties will include:Administer routine aspects of industrial security and Secure Compartmented Information (SCI) programs in compliance with the NISPOM, DoDM, ICDs, and other applicable government security directives associated with SCI security, Communicate clearly, concisely, accurately, and promptly with colleagues and customers. Coordinate facility visits, badging new hires, and general security inquiries.Maintain all security documentation jn accordance with government requirements. Update records in the Security Information Management System (SIMS). Provide initial security briefings, debriefings, foreign travel, and other security awareness training. Coordinate with Government customer security offices. Conduct random inspections, Investigate security violations, maintain records, and submit reports.Review of end-of-day checklists and daily action reports submitted by contract guard force, Support CSSO with the preparation and maintenance of facility accreditation documentation.Serves as Alternate COMSEC custodian.Assist Physical Security Officer (PSO) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with tasks such as completing checklists, conducting inventory, updating records, conducting selfinspections, etc.Perform other duties as assigned. Work core hours are M-F 8 am - 5 pm. Required Skills and EducationMust currently have active access to TS/SCI. CI Polygraph is required. Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detaii and operate under pressure. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, security databases and email. Willingness and desire to support all security disciplines in the organization as a team member.
