Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production SupervisorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentThe ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise and enhance production operationsJob ResponsibilitiesSupervise, lead, coach, and direct team leaders and labor to achieve production volume, cost, and quality targets, and meet production schedules and delivery datesManage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reportsPlan headcount, including managing absences, holidays, training, and workshopsComplete Attendance Register daily and perform ADP data entry to approve employee time and update schedulesConduct standardized work audits and ensure adherence to Standardized Work within the teamCollaborate with team leaders to schedule rotation of operatorsLiaise with support functions to resolve build issues and prevent recurrenceOversee rework as necessary and manage the closure of line QRCIsCoach team leaders to react and resolve issues independentlyEnsure team members adhere to principles of the 7 Quality BasicsMaintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S, and good housekeeping practicesEncourage and follow up on improvement ideas and liaise with support functions for implementationPromote a safe work environmentConduct disciplinary, return to work, and performance evaluation interviewsValidate operator polyvalence levels and set targets each weekAssist with additional tasks as assignedEssential SkillsExperience in production supervision, particularly within the automotive industryKnowledge of production management, safety, continuous improvement, and supervisionProficiency in Six Sigma, assembly processes, lean manufacturing, and process improvementJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
