Through innovative curricular designs, early clinical experiences, and mentorship, the Department is focused on producing highly competent, caring, and compassionate Family Medicine/OMM physicians, helping reduce the shortage of primary care physicians in our Texas communities.Position OverviewThe Department of Family and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is seeking a part-timehourly faculty member, to teach and mentor Doctor of Osteopathy medical students in small group teaching settings.Minimum QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following required qualification: DO/MD DegreeKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Knowledge and experience in using various teaching methods to create an effective learning environment. Preferred QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following required qualification: DO/MD DegreeRequired License/Registration/CertificationsN/APhysical Requirements: Communicating with others to exchange information. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Environmental Hazards: No adverse environmental conditions expected.
