GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPEThe Beauty Consultant is dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests. This role involves understanding guest needs, performing cashier duties, ensuring merchandise availability, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. You will support the leadership team by focusing on sales performance, guest service, and adherence to operating procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Job Functions)The Beauty Consultant plays a vital role in embodying Ulta Beauty's mission and values through the following: Help achieve store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and minimizing retail losses. Ensure every guest receives exceptional service by greeting them, personalizing their experience, and responding to inquiries about products and promotions. Handle customer service inquiries, manage sales, and assist with online orders, exchanges, and refunds. Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience and drive sales. Book appointments and assist in executing in-store events that elevate the guest experience while meeting sales targets. Stay informed about new and existing products to provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. PEOPLEContribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment: Promote the benefits of the guest loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app to enhance customer engagement. Work with management and team members to foster business growth. Engage in ongoing training for professional development and sales enhancement. PROCESSEnsure efficient store operations: Adhere to Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and codes of conduct. Maintain high standards of store appearance including cleanliness in all areas. Support inventory procedures and product displays to drive sales. Implement loss prevention practices and deliver excellent guest service. Perform any additional operational tasks assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation High school diploma preferred. Experience 1 year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Skills Passionate about guest service and adept at sales. Familiar with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale systems and mobile devices). Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Capable of independent work as well as teamwork. SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. WORKING CONDITIONS Mobility throughout the store is required during shifts. Repetitive standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be necessary. Continuous coordination and handling of objects will be part of the role. The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $21.50 per hour, dependent on various factors such as experience and location.
