Longo Lexus Express Lube Technician

OverviewWe are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner, as assigned, and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and standards.The Express Lube Technician is also responsible for communicating with the management team, service consultant and the guest at all points of service repair. This is a full-time position, our Express Lube Technicians get to work with an amazing team and by working for Longo Lexus, they are surrounded by only the best.The Express Lube Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation between $19.00. Development and growth opportunities Free Employee Parking On-site gym, free of charge to team members ResponsibilitiesPerforms oil changes on guest vehicles Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary Check's tire pressures and adds air, as needed Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs Performs a thorough check of guest's vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to ASM Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment Assists the service department, as needed Operated all tools and equipment in a safe manner Achieves the production objectives set by management Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner Maintains high ethical standards in all actions Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent; Automotive Program/School required or currently enrolled. A minimum of one (1) year automotive repair experience, desired; or a combination of education and experience Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required Fully proficient in basic mathematical principles and application (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it Must have great attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language A California driver's license, and an acceptable driving record are required Physical demandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
