Radiology Ltd. is growing, and we're excited to offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for a talented Mammography Technologist to join our team There is an opportunity for an additional relocation bonus for qualified candidates.If you're passionate about patient-centered breast imaging and want to work with a supportive, high-performing group, we'd love to meet you.Summary: Performs mammography imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and detection of breast tissue abnormalities by performing the essential duties of the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and positions patient for both diagnostic and screening mammography imaging. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures in mammography areas Assists Radiologist in special diagnostic procedures and examinations.. Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control. Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician. Communicates with the Clinical Manager regarding maintenance, malfunctions, and minor repairs needed on mammography equipment. Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed. Works effectively with co-workers, supervisors, patients, physicians and other external contacts. Other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school Certified Registered X-ray Technologist licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services with Mammography certification. Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) with certification in Radiography.
