Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager at Applebee's who is passionate about creating an exceptional experience for both guests and staff. In this role, you will lead daily operations and ensure a positive atmosphere that inspires your team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver timely and friendly service, meeting company standards and unit goals. Foster a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values. Address and resolve guest complaints immediately and effectively. Prioritize guest engagement through required table visits. Manage departmental inventory levels diligently. Oversee product preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with company standards. Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands. Maintain safety and security protocols throughout the restaurant. Promote cleanliness and sanitation within the restaurant environment. Assist in routine maintenance and report repair needs to management. Support recruitment of team members and management candidates. Facilitate training and onboarding for new managers and team members. Contribute to employees' development through regular feedback and documentation. Monitor employee performance, addressing issues promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Control costs within assigned departments. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. Conduct food and liquor inventories as requested by management. Prepare and submit accurate daily operational paperwork. Maintain sanitation standards in line with health regulations. Act as a role model for both managers and team members. Stay informed about all restaurant-related technologies. Be adaptable to work in varying positions, including cooking, serving, and bartending as needed. Participate in the Management Development Program for ongoing leadership growth. Qualifications: 2-3 years of management experience in the restaurant industry is required. ServSafe Food and ServSafe Alcohol certifications are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends. Capable of standing and being mobile for up to ten hours. Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Competent in reading and writing for effective communication.
