Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Wax Engineering Specialist to ensure optimal safety, production, quality, and operational processes in our facility. Maintain and enhance the die maintenance program; perform die maintenance as necessary. Monitor and verify accuracy of paperwork according to AS9100D standards. Ensure optimal functioning and output of wax injection equipment. Drive continuous improvements in the wax department, focusing on cost reduction. Act as a resource and support for operational issues during your shift. Conduct daily audits of wax ultrasound (UT) and X-ray compliance. Work collaboratively to meet production and quality goals. Provide technical support for all wax equipment. Train new employees hands-on and assist with troubleshooting. Perform daily quality and process audits to verify adherence to procedures. Update work instructions to reflect validated process changes and quality standards. Analyze data and review scrap daily to improve process repeatability. Conduct engineering trials for process improvements and document findings. Track and present daily yield data to management. Identify deviations in wax patterns, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions. Regularly communicate with finishing and injection department managers about pattern quality. Complete any additional tasks assigned by management as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or similar engineering discipline. At least three years of experience in wax injection operations or a related field is preferred. Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with Six Sigma experience preferred.
