Geotechnical Driller

OverviewWe are looking for experiencedGeotechnical Driller(Geohazard Mitigation Technician Level 3, GMT3) to join our team. As a GMT3 working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. Our expertise, proprietary tools, and worldwide partnerships allow us to repair virtually any slope stability or foundation problem in any geologic setting.ResponsibilitiesOperate rock drills (Cammachio, KIemm, Casagrande, Fraste)Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumpsOperate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loadersReading and determining measurementsMaintain a clean and organized construction siteWork together in a team environmentQualificationsBasic Qualifications:At least one year soil stabilization or geohazard mitigation experience requiredHeavy equipment operation experiencePrior concrete or shotcrete experienceDrilling experienceAbility to travel extensivelyReliability and a strong work ethicAbility to get along with a diverse group of peoplePreferred Qualifications:Class A CDLNozzleman certification (ACI Certification)Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.Regular heavy lifting (75lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Travel:100% travelling in the Western US. Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.Pay: $23/hr - $27/hr.
