Maintenance SupervisorGlanbiaJoin this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journeyThe OpportunityOrganize schedule and assign all work to be done on production equipment, including daily, monthly, semiannual and annual rebuilds, work closely with the production management and maintenance personal to insure that the facility is up to the required standards, coach and develop the Maintenance Mechanics, identify and implement process optimization projects in the safest and environmentally friendly manner possible. This permanent position will report to the Senior Engineering Maintenance Manager.Directs workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment including but not limited to such items as: motors, pumps, conveyors, fillers, case formers, case loaders, sealers, coders, palletizers and other packing and processing equipment Maintain and service plant equipment and facilities. Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities. Model Glanbia values, policies and procedures. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules Develop solutions to plant related problems. Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP). Provide performance coaching to the Maintenance Mechanics. Demonstrate professionalism in verbal and written communication and in behavior. Maintain records, files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant equipment. Responsible for work order disbursement and completion. Responsible for creating, modifying, deleting, (managing) work orders in the inventory management system SAP Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct. Perform other duties as assigned The Skills you will bring to the team Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, maintenance management systems. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Strong SAP knowledge preferred.
