A Vacancy exists for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the Upper Merion Area School District for the School Year 2025-2026.Qualifications:Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology, or a related field. Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral disorders or developmental disabilities, preferably in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and practices, including functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention planning. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals. Ability to collect and analyze data to make informed decisions about behavior interventions and outcomes. Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI. Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to analyze the antecedents and consequences of problem behaviors. Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the results of FBAs and collaborate with the student's educational team to implement these plans. Provide training and ongoing support to teachers, staff, and parents on behavior management techniques and strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans through data collection and analysis, making necessary adjustments to ensure progress. Collaborate with school personnel to create and maintain a positive and inclusive school climate that supports the social-emotional and behavioral development of all students. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding behavior goals and objectives for students with disabilities. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management to ensure high-quality services. Maintain accurate and confidential records of behavior assessments, interventions, and progress reports for each student. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
