DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYPrepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for customer at Prairie's Edge Casino Resort by performing the following functions.Hiring for Full Time. The shifts will include weekends and holidays.Shift differentials of $1.00/hour extra for 4:00 p.m.- midnight and $2.00/hour extra for midnight - 8:00 a.m. We also offer a generous benefit package with Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Employee Discounts, Paid Time Off, Vacation, and 401k - with a company match.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Prepare, cook, and clean food as needed.• Able to read, measure and prepare food from a recipe.• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.• Bakes, roasts, broils, fries, sautés, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods in addition to having a working knowledge of convection ovens, braisers, deep fryers, broasters, alto shams, steamers and various kitchen processing equipment.• Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders. Start food in process making sure not to prepare more than estimated amount.• Butchers chickens, fish, and shellfish. Cuts, trims, and bones meat prior to cooking.• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.• Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
