Job Description Summary Job Description Basic Qualifications High School Education or GED equivalency. Minimum of 3 years' inspection experience, particularly as a Norwich Inspector. Completion of SAE International AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification Training and AS9117 Delegated Product Release Verification is mandatory. Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a product release delegate. Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Work Instruction NQWI4.21.2 x series. Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, ERP Systems, etc.). Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and professionally. Ability to qualify as DMIR (as approved by FAA). Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Conduct product release activities to verify that purchase order requirements are fulfilled and approve shipment to the designated organization. Ensure compliance with customer specifications and validate supplier documentation. Review documentation thoroughly, from purchase order to certification of conformity. Perform visual inspections focusing on marking, appearance, and condition as required by customer standards. Certification for inspection methods including braze, weld, and solder is required. Ability to measure dimensional characteristics using various hand tools and measuring devices (e.g., optical comparators, ohm meters, CMMs, etc.). Confirm that the First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) is approved by the customer. Maintain detailed records of inspection activities; report any instances of non-conformity. Engage with contacts to resolve previously identified non-conformities. Verify packaging standards and documentation for each shipment. Examine certificate of conformity prior to approval and stamping. Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Interpret technical drawings and specifications while performing additional assigned duties. Act as a role model in demonstrating GE Leadership behaviors and mentor others. Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant inspection experience. Basic understanding of Quality System requirements, especially AS9100. Familiarity with electrical test methods including the use of ohm meters, gauss meters, etc. General knowledge of electrical components and their testing procedures. Experience in assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing preferred. Understanding of assembly techniques beneficial. Experience working in a self-directed team environment. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team. Humble and eager to learn; demonstrates respect and receptiveness. Transparent communicator who shares information candidly and constructively. Focused and strategic in prioritizing work; quick learner. Demonstrated leadership capabilities; strong decision-maker and communicator. Analytical problem-solver who challenges existing processes. Ability to analyze data using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.). Familiarity with 5S principles and lean manufacturing practices. Physical Demands: Capability to hold up to 5-6 lbs; occasional lifting of heavy items up to 35 lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers repetitively. Occasional physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and balancing. Continuous sitting required; ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. The pay for this position is $24.70/hour, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. The position may remain open until 12/31/25.
