We strive to cultivate a healthy and diverse community that recognizes the value of each individual and helps foster safety, civility, and respect for all people.Assistant Production ManagerReports to: Production ManagerDepartment: ProductionCompensation: $5,750 stipend, housing and mealsDates: Mid-May to Mid-AugustThe Assistant Production Manager will serve a vital role in the daily operations of The O'Neill Theater Center.Duties will include:Work directly with the Production Manager to assist in managing the production department and serve as a liaison between O'Neill staff, creative teams, and productionAssist with the load-in and load-out of the summer season, including setup and strike of all workspaces and storage of items for the off-seasonSupport lighting and audio departments when needed, including changeoversUpkeep of internal calendars for the Summer Conferences, National Theater Institute, and special eventsHelp coordinate the flow of information within and without the Production DepartmentPurchase supplies, receipt input, and budget tracking for productionExpedite and fulfill support requests from production departments and artistic staffProvide support in the planning, coordination, and set-up of all rehearsal rooms, performance spaces, offices, and meeting roomsAttend daily rehearsals as needed, acting as the liaison for the Production Department in the rehearsal room and assist the Stage Management team as neededCoordinate daily work schedules with Audio and Lighting SupervisorsWork closely with House Management staff to prepare performance spaces and provide support during performancesSupport special events on campus as neededAssist in creating and maintaining all production department paperworkIdeal candidate:The ideal candidate is an early-career technical professional interested in production management. They must be organized, flexible, and responsible with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to multitask. Candidates should posses excellent communication skills and have leadership experience. Candidates should be self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced work environment. They should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
