Position: Lower School Instructor for the 26-27 School YearReports To: Lower School PrincipalFLSA Classification: ExemptFounded in 1986, Mount Pisgah Christian School is a leading private school that provides an outstanding college-preparatory education grounded in Christian faith and values. We are committed to partnering with families to offer excellence in faith, academics, fine arts, and athletics.Responsibilities: Creates a classroom environment that fosters a desire to learn and develops a culture of excellence. Develops lesson plans based on MPCS curriculum guidelines. Works cooperatively with MPCS Instructional Coaches to learn feedback and continuously improve quality of instruction. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Maintains overall professionalism adhering to the MPCS guidelines. Supports the value of an education founded in Christian values. Supports the philosophy and mission of Mount Pisgah Christian School. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field. A minimum of 2 years' experience preferably in an educational environment. A mission-driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith-based academic environment & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community. Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Collaboration: Has student-centered focus and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners. Work Environment:The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Have specific vision abilities required by this job that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus The noise level in the work environment is usually low. Manage equipment, including a phone, computer, camera, video equipment, and other electronic devices. Use muscles or limbs to Lift boxes or items under 30 lbs.
