We are seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon for a 56-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri, starting Apr 1, 2026. This opportunity involves 7-10 days per month with 24-hour call coverage one weekend each month, focusing on a broad range of neurological surgery cases at a trauma facility. Candidates must hold a Missouri license or qualify via the IMLC, with ATLS and PALS certifications required.Job DetailsLocation: MissouriStart Date: Apr 1, 2026LOA: 56 daysProvider Type Needed: NeurosurgeonSchedule: 7-10 days per month, 24-hour call one weekend per month (Friday 0700 to Monday 0700)Responsibilities and DutiesPerform general neurosurgery proceduresConduct cerebrovascular procedures, including carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clippingManage brain tumor and neuroendocrine surgery casesProvide stereotactic radiosurgery and functional neurosurgical interventionsTreat seizure disorders, perform VP shunt placements, and skull base surgeriesConduct spinal surgery with or without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)Perform peripheral nerve surgery and pain proceduresComplete endovascular procedures and placement of ICP monitorsApply external traction and manage ventilator and central line placementsAdditional InformationMissouri license or eligibility via IMLC requiredBoard certification in Neurological Surgery required; fellowship training preferredATLS and PALS certifications requiredTrauma; PEDsExperience with Epic EMR preferredEstimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 daysBenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
