They will step into an essential leadership position during a period of accelerated transition due to an upcoming retirement.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.This role requires deep concrete construction expertise, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing preconstruction team.Leadership & StrategyServe as the primary leader and representative of the Preconstruction department.Lead, mentor, and manage the estimating team (4 direct reports).Guide strategic planning for market positioning, workload, and company growth.Business DevelopmentMaintain and expand client relationships.Pursue and secure high-fit project opportunities.Represent ELY in proposals, presentations, and preconstruction meetings.Preconstruction & EstimatingOversee all estimating activities for accuracy and competitiveness.Delegate and manage team workload effectively.Implement value-engineering solutions and support market/vertical expansion.Success Metrics (6–12 Months)Strong cultural integration as a collaborative, servant leader.Continuity and growth of client relationships.Award of several new projects and consistent, high-quality bids.Effective team leadership and contribution to strategic planning and forecasting.Required Experience & QualificationsIndustry Expertise10–15 years of concrete construction experience.Background with a GC that self-performs concrete or a concrete contractor with diverse project experience (not limited to tilt-up).Experience with Structural and or Elevated ConcreteEducationRelevant construction or engineering education preferred.Functional Competencies (Must-Have)Ability to build and leverage a strong client portfolio.Advanced preconstruction/estimating skills.Experience managing and developing an estimating team.Relocation package available
