S/he will develop and deliver lesson plans to groups and individual students utilizing academic development language standards.*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** Provide personalized academic and language instruction to English Learners in both English and the native language , sheltered instruction, English Language Development, and ESL strategies.* Advocate for biliteracy and demonstrate a commitment to supporting students in their development of the language skills and subject matter* Provide direct Bilingual and ESL services and instruction to identified students in push-in and pull-out instruction* Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize appropriate instructional techniques that enable limited English proficient students to overcome barriers* Adapt curriculum and provide tailored academic instruction in native language to English Learners as appropriate and in alignment with student goals and program mode* Adapts classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address learning needs* Obtains training for and assists with the administration of language assessments for the purpose of evaluating student language proficiency (WIDA screenings and ACCESS testing)* Maintains organized records of documentation regarding student achievement in core courses* Collaborate and coordinate with staff to support students experiencing academic performance challenges related to English language learning* Interprets student performance data and implements appropriate support structures* Communicates and confers effectively both orally and in written form with students, parents, colleagues, and administration* Other duties as assigned by supervisor.*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** *Valid Illinois teaching certification PEL** *Valid Illinois bilingual education teacher certification* or Transitional Bilingual Educator's License k-12 or 6-12* Bachelor's degree*Desired Qualifications:** ESL endorsement*Benefits:*_Starting Salary: $55,000__Education: Plus $1,000 for master’s degree, $2,000 for doctorate degree. xhmxlyz __Experience: Plus $1,000/yr up to 10 years.
