Overview of a Financial AnalystAs a Financial Analyst, you'll provide insights and strategic recommendations that shape business decisions and fuel growth. Responsibilities of a Financial Analyst Analyze financial data and deliver actionable insights. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and bank projections. Prepare reports, KPIs, and variance analysis for leadership. Support strategic planning, investments, and resource allocation. Build financial models and evaluate risks/opportunities. Collaborate across teams to assess financial impact of initiatives. Monitor performance metrics (cash flow, inventory, freight accrual). Drive improvements through trend analysis and corrective actions. Maintain dashboards and management reports. Handle ad hoc analysis and special projects (M&A, capital investments). Qualifications of a Financial Analyst Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 2-5 years in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or strategic finance. Bonus: Experience with Great Plains, SQL, Crystal Reports, or Planful.
