Senior Building Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Building Engineer with accreditation in mold remediation to lead complex building operations, environmental health issues, and capital improvement projects across our properties. This role focuses on high-level engineering challenges that go beyond routine maintenance, including mold assessments, remediation, and oversight of major system upgrades. The ideal candidate combines advanced technical expertise with strong project management skills to ensure properties remain safe, compliant, and operationally efficient.Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Key Responsibilities:1. Specialized Building Engineering & High-Level IssuesAssess and manage complex building system issues beyond routine maintenance, including structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical challenges.Identify, investigate, and resolve environmental health concerns, particularly mold and water intrusion issues.Lead root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.2. Mold Remediation & Environmental CompliancePerform inspections, testing, and assessments for mold and other environmental hazards.Develop, oversee, and execute remediation plans in compliance with IICRC, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.Coordinate with certified remediation contractors and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.3. Capital Improvement Projects (CapEx)Lead planning and execution of capital projects, including system upgrades, building renovations, and preventative infrastructure improvements.Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Provide technical guidance, cost estimates, and feasibility assessments for proposed projects.4. Reporting & OversightPrepare detailed reports on building condition, environmental risks, remediation efforts, and project progress.Advise the Director of Operations on property needs, long-term planning, and risk mitigation strategies.Qualifications:Accredited mold remediation certification (e.g., IICRC or equivalent) or the ability to obtain such a certification with assistance from the employer.Extensive experience in building engineering or facilities management, with focus on high-level building challenges and capital projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.Experience managing mold remediation and other environmental health concerns.Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize complex projects, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.Why Join Us:Take ownership of critical property projects and environmental health initiatives.Work in a collaborative, professional environment with leadership visibility. xhmxlyz Competitive salary, benefits, and professional development opportunities.Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
