Job Description: Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr The Reliability & Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring that electronic and electro-mechanical systems meet reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety requirements. The role involves performing reliability analyses, supporting failure reporting and corrective actions, and collaborating with system design engineers to develop robust and compliant systems. Essential Functions: Generate and implement reliability and safety plans and procedures. Interpret and allocate reliability and safety requirements across projects. Perform reliability, maintainability, availability, safety, FMEA, FMECA, and Fault Tree Analysis. Support FRACAS activities, including monitoring failures and participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Engage with system design engineers in developing new designs and configurations. Provide recommendations to ensure compliance with reliability and safety standards. Participate in system design reviews, presentations, and meetings with customers. Liaise with clients and internal technical teams regarding reliability and safety issues. Manage multiple projects simultaneously across development and production stages. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate degree with 2 years of prior related experience, or In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. At least 2 years performing electrical stress/derating analysis, FMECA (MIL-STD-1629A), reliability predictions and analysis (MIL-STD-785/MIL-HDBK-217/MIL-HDBK-1547A), Fault Tree Analysis (IEC 61025/NUREG-0492), and system hazard analysis (MIL-STD-882) on electronic and electro-mechanical devices. Experience with Aerospace, defense, or government programs, including reading and analyzing electrical schematics. Preferred Additional Skills: Eligible for a security clearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Experience with prediction software tools such as PTC Windchill Quality Solutions, Relyence, or similar. Familiarity with Environmental Stress Screening (MIL-HDBK-344A). Must-Have Skills: Electrical stress/derating analysis, FMECA, reliability predictions, Fault Tree Analysis, and system hazard analysis. Teamwork, strong communication skills (presentations and customer interactions), reprioritization skills, and ability to work independently.
