Job Description: The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health needs or important health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures. The role involves direct patient contact, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately. The PSR I will demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Under the supervision of the area supervisor, the individual will perform daily activities accurately, maintain a safe and professional environment, complete specimen collection duties, and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Keyboard and data entry experience. Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience. One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Responsibilities: Perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Should Have: Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Skills: Strong phlebotomy skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
