Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position offers a dynamic opportunity to manage financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant recordkeeping for the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to handle multiple accounting functions independently while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections. - Process employee payroll, ensuring accurate tax withholdings and benefits distribution. - Reconcile bank statements with company financial records to maintain accuracy. - Maintain and update general ledger accounts by recording daily financial transactions. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. - Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations. - Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts to support organizational planning. - Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. - Collaborate with other departments, external auditors, and advisors to ensure accurate reporting. - Implement and optimize financial processes to improve efficiency and compliance. Requirements - Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. - Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable operations. - Strong knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations. - Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries. - Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports. - Skilled in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. - Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements. - Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with advanced organizational skills.
