You'll lead a team of engaged professionals that have a passion for fitness and helping our members achieve More LifeAs a Head Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties:Leading a team of 5-7 coachesWorking directly with the Studio Manager to build our communityAttending Community EventsLeading by ExampleLeading and motivating members through pre-defined workoutsMaking sure members are using the correct form and offering corrections if they aren'tUnderstanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general and being aware of what the competition is doingKnowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workoutBeing a team playerResponsible for building class attendance and retaining current clienteleResponsible for the safety of your participants in regards to heart rate, exercise technique, posture and spine, as well as joint stress and stability when resistance trainingResponsible for your scheduled class group personal training sessions including but not limited to requesting substitute trainers to cover your session, helping other trainers when available and assisting as a floor trainer when applicable.Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and all relative, mandatory webinars and other requested corporate meetings and continuing education presentations.Handle member concerns/feedback in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution and retention when applicable.Assist Sales Associates, when needed, with OTF studio tours/sales with new prospectsMust be flexible and willing to work weekends, opening and closing shifts as requested by your Studio Manager and/or Head TrainerExperience and RequirementsStrong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and body mechanicsMust have the ability to multi-task and stay organized while training up to 30 clients in one group training session.Must have the ability to progress and regress exercises on the fly, in real timePositive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills.Must have the desire and capacity to train all fitness levels, novice to elite.Must hold a current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM,ACE, NASM, NSCA, AFFA, NCSF, ISSA etc.Must invest 10+ hours per year in continuing education lectures and workshops outside of OTF curriculum.Must have current CPR/AED certification1+ years of professional experience teaching groups and/or personal training in the Fitness Industry.Must understand heart rate focused training programs and the science that supports the OTF workouts.Excellent communication and customer service skillsMust have the strength and ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbsPrevious experience in sports coaching, physical education, or personal trainingProven track record in fitness sales and achieving sales targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSkills:- Ability to design effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs- Proficient in conducting fitness assessments and interpreting results- Knowledge of various training methods, equipment, and exercises- Strong motivational skills to inspire clients to reach their fitness goals- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with clients- Sales skills to promote services and upsell additional offeringsPlease note that this is not an entry-level position.
