Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Coordinator RN to work in the Nursing Administration department at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.

Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is a fully accredited acute care hospital dedicated to providing the finest medical and health care services to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties. An affiliate of the RWJBarnabas Health system, Monmouth South is a sister hospital to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

Monmouth South is the only hospital in the region to provide private rooms on all of its inpatient units, providing an environment more conducive to healing. Several other enhancements have been made to provide superior service to Lakewood and the surrounding region as well, including the Better Health Senior Membership Program, state-of-the-art Geriatrics Institute, and an expansion of cancer services.

Qualifications:

Required:

* BSN Degree
* Bariatric patient experience
* Successful completion of all orientation

Certifications and Licenses Required:

* BLS and ACLS AHA certification
* Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

* Bariatric certification
* 3 or more years Bariatric Nursing experience as an RN

Scheduling Requirements:

* Day shift, 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

* The Bariatric Coordinator RN will work with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure smooth planning and execution of the Incidental Finding Program,
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN will manage the workflow of patients in the Program from the start of their weight loss journey through care coordination and post operative care
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN serves as a patient advocate to ensure appropriate timeliness and access to care
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN will work with medical staff, participate in institutional activities, and attend community events
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN maintains exam rooms and equipment and keeps an orderly flow of patients to be seen by the physicians
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN functions include being part of the patient care team in efforts to achieve goals established for both the individual patient and the clinical service
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
* The Bariatric Coordinator RN Insure that Nursing Administrative department is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations
