Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is providing general clinical and pharmacy services, including supervision of technical staff. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. In this role you will: * Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system. * Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals. * Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. * Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing nonformulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promotes rational drug therapy selection. * Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients. * Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership. * Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely. * Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions. * Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team. What qualifications you will need: * B.S. or PharmD from and ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required * Minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred * Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate Florida State Board of Pharmacy HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center.
