Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a fulfillment setting, where you will play a crucial role in shipping specialty medications across the country.

Responsibilities

+ Use multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare to orders received, and produce mailing labels.

+ Utilize the best method for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures, including type of packaging and unique conditions, such as refrigeration, to ensure safe and secure delivery.

+ Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging.

+ Maintain various machines and equipment, such as IPD machines and auto packing machines.

Essential Skills

+ Licensed Pharmacy Technician in AL.

+ Experience using multiple computer systems for order processing.

+ Experience in packing and shipping procedures, particularly with specialty medications.

+ Experience in maintaining pharmacy equipment.

+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) highly preferred.

+ Previous experience in pharmacy shipping is recommended.

+ Experience in a pharmacy tech role, including customer service, compounding, fulfillment, inventory, and pharmacy support.

Work Environment

This is a high-volume production environment in a specialty pharmacy setting, where you will work with a team of up to 10 members. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with a casual dress code. The role offers stability in a large organization with opportunities for growth and cross-training.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
