Summary:

We're seeking a motivated and experienced Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate who takes initiative, communicates well with customers, and thrives in a hands-on environment. This is a hybrid position - part warehouse operations, part customer service - offering an excellent opportunity to build product knowledge, develop customer relationships, and grow into inside or outside sales.

As a key member of our operations and sales team, you'll handle everything from receiving and pulling orders to helping customers at the counter and coordinating deliveries. We're looking for someone who's reliable, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in the electrical distribution industry.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.

+ Good mechanical skills.

+ Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist

+ Ability to work on concrete floor for entire shift

+ Ability to climb ladders to pull material

+ Strong product knowledge of electrical components (wire, conduit, fittings, lighting, controls, etc.).

While performing the duties of this job, warehouse associates are regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 75 pounds.

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Greet and assist walk-in customers and contractors at the sales counter.

+ Provide quotes, process orders, and handle customer inquiries accurately and efficiently.

+ Pick, stage, and load materials for customer orders and deliveries.

+ Receive and stock incoming materials; ensure accurate inventory control.

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and wire-cutting machines safely.

+ Coordinate with inside sales and purchasing to resolve backorders or product questions.

+ Maintain product displays, signage, and organization at the counter and in the warehouse.

+ Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive, reliable service.

+ Take initiative to learn product lines, vendor programs, and pricing structures.

+ Support and train newer team members as the branch continues to grow.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $25 hourly.
