We want you to apply Job Summary and Qualifications As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey. Your responsibilities will include: * Responsible for procurement, maintenance, availability of supplies and equipment pertaining to anesthesia * Assists professional nursing staff and anesthesiologists during intubation and extubation phases of anesthesia * Assists in preparation and placement of special invasive and non-invasive lines/procedures * Provides room turnover for anesthesia and in any other areas as time and skill allows * Provides call coverage as needed. * Transports and handles non-controlled medications only. * Operates specialty equipment such as Cell Saver, GEM4000 and Hepcon analyzers. * Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties. * Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need * Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use * Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices * Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens * Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices * Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights What qualifications you will need: * Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Medical City Arlington is a 435+ bed full-service hospital located in south Arlington.
