You Will: * Supervise laboratory non-technical personnel and daily operations * Supervise personnel, processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing. Performs non-technical duties in areas of responsibility as required. * Be responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities * Screens, interviews and selects qualified individuals for open positions within the department * Reviews and approves payroll time sheets, purchasing requisitions, check requests, and scheduling requests * Completes and conducts performance evaluations for all staff under direct supervision You Should Have: * H.S. Diploma or GED required; Vocational or Technical education is helpful * 3-5 years' experience in specimen collection or processing * Clinical laboratory experience preferred HCA Florida West Hospital is a 515-bed facility.
