Job Summary and Qualifications The Cancer Center Director facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Oncology-related departments for optimal care of patients. The Director works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff and the Oncology physicians to ensure the highest level of care for patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines. The Director works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment. The Director is responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cancer services at the facility. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational). The Director is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Services are performed in conjunction with the mission and values of the facility and of HCA, including participation in goals and processes derived from HCA initiatives. The Director will manage the development of a new Cancer Center at the facility and will manage all aspects of the oncology product line development. Specific duties include: physician recruitment, business development, marketing and sales, development of a research program and development of a branding strategy. Operational responsibilities include Cancer Registry and working collaboratively with other HCA facilities. What qualifications you will need: Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Masters degree preferred. Knowledge/Licensure/Certifications: Knowledge of marketing and business practices required; knowledge of medical oncology preferred. OCN certification preferred after two full years of employment in the Cancer Center. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cancer related field or other program development service line. Minimum 5 years management experience. Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285+ bed hospital featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
