As a Security Officer - Government Facility - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and teamwork, while contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond as appropriate during emergency situations.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related needs as they arise.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
* Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents encountered while on patrol.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
* Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
* Complete required documentation and reports related to patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
* Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack are preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
