Plant Sanitation Operator

Our Plant Sanitation Operator keeps our doughnut mix plant sparkling clean and food-safe, paying particular attention to HACCP and Allergen control issues. We're looking for a sanitation superstar who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and quality. If you're dependable, energetic, and take pride in a job well done, come join our team A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: * Execute duties and tasks as outlined in the Master Cleaning Schedules for each area of the plant (wipe down/wash equipment, walls, windows, elevator/plant doors, etc.). * Maintain cleanliness of the plant by sweeping, brushing, mopping, vacuuming, or using an air hose. * Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning as required. * Follow and document sanitation procedures in accordance with company policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety standards. * Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with SDS guidelines. * Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure cleanliness and readiness for production. * Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve sanitation-related issues. * Maintain floors: Operate scrubbers as required; be knowledgeable in the use chemical strippers, wax, and other plant use chemicals. * Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and chemical usage. * Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate team members. * Support pest control and waste management efforts. * Weigh scrap and give weight to supervisor * Participate in audits and inspections as needed. * Perform other sanitation duties as assigned. YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: * High school diploma or GED required. * Prior experience in food manufacturing sanitation is strongly preferred. * Ability to read and follow written procedures and safety instructions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in wet/humid environments. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team * Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check * Forklift operation experience and certification preferred * The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job and are not the official job description for the position.
