The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. The group works closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical and functional needs, driving excellence and operational efficiency within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) region.
What you'll do:
* Analyze and classify requirements, including functional and non-functional, to align solutions with business objectives.
* Design scalable software architectures and detailed component-level designs based on high-level requirements.
* Develop, configure, and maintain code adhering to coding standards, ensuring security, quality, and performance.
* Build automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
* Create and execute test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
* Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks and recommend solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
What you'll bring:
* Extensive experience in software development, including proficiency in coding languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C.
* Strong knowledge of solution design principles, software architecture, and scalable distributed systems.
* Proven ability to analyze and classify requirements, including functional and non-functional types, to align with business objectives.
* Expertise in DevOps practices, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and automation scripting.
* Familiarity with testing methodologies, defect management, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery.
* Ability to evaluate trade-offs in design and implement secure, maintainable, and high-availability solutions.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex software products within agile environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
