Are you living your life's work?The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Interventional Radiographer for the Perelman Center for Advanced MedicineThe is a 40/hr per week with the following schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-630pmMust be able to work on call weekdays, weekends and holidays.On Call Every 15th weekend.Penn Radiology provides patients and physicians with a full range of cutting-edge imaging techniques and specialized expertise. Compassionate, patient-centered services are available in many convenient locations throughout the Philadelphia region.Duties include but not limited to:Greets patient, identifies self and interacts with patient to gain trust and insure patient supportExplains procedures to patient/familyPrepares patients for procedures according to section protocolsPractices proper sterile technique during the execution of procedures.Adapts roles/responsibilities to meet or exceed customer needs through quality care and service Continually seeks the highest standards for personal and professional performanceTake patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory rate.Review procedure aftercare with patients and their families.Performs procedures consistent with section protocolsMonitors patient status, tolerance, well-being, and safety throughout and after procedureVerifies patient identity and insures preparation for procedureAids radiologists, doctors and other UPHS team members in completing procedures according to applicable protocolResponds to emergency situations according to department/hospital policiesCredentials:ARRT (Required)Basic Life Support (Required)Education or Equivalent Experience:High School Graduate or Equivalent required.Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Advanced degree preferred.Two + years' experience in radiology preferred.
