We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you would prepare patients, collect relevant information for completion of procedures, and perform sonographic exams following defined protocols. Throughout the procedure, you would be observant of patients' conditions, and notify physician of unusual occurrences. * Compile appropriate records to expedite results. * You will analyze the quality of images and processes as required. * Completes data sheet containing pertinent patient information following exam prior to forwarding to radiologist. * Take call after regular hours to meet department needs. What qualifications you will need: * Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date * Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound, or training in Ultrasound in a hospital program * One year of experience as Vascular and/or Ultrasound Technologist. * ARRT or RDMS Registered- must be obtained within one (1) year of hire or start in position Established in 1974, Henrico Doctors Hospital is a 340-bed community hospital offering cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, physical therapy, womens services and a 24/7 emergency department.
