Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Controller to provide financial leadership and support to nonprofit organizations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping mission-driven organizations thrive.In this role, you will serve as an outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, helping to strengthen their financial operations, enhance internal controls, and provide strategic financial guidance. You'll work closely with clients' leadership teams, boards of directors, and finance committees to ensure financial clarity and sustainability.We offer a flexible hybrid work environment, a collaborative and supportive team culture, and a rewarding career that aligns with your passion for nonprofits.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements for management and board decision-making.Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance policies.Manage core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close.Perform financial analysis, data visualization, budgeting, and forecasting.Oversee grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.Prepare for and manage the annual audit process.Provide training and support to client staff on financial best practices.QualificationsPassion for working with nonprofit organizations.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5-7+ years of accounting experience.Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment is a plus.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with multiple general ledger (GL) software, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.Previous experience in nonprofit accounting, public accounting, or consulting is a plus but not required.CPA certification is a plus.Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.A customized cover letter outlining your interest and qualifications is required.What We OfferA mission-driven, people-focused work environment.Competitive compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year (based on a 35-hour workweek).Work-life balance with a standard 35-hour full-time workweek.Flexible hybrid work environment.Paid time off:4 weeks of PTO (including vacation and sick time).9 paid holidays.Comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance with generous employer contributions.Life insurance and supplementary benefits.401(k) retirement plan with employer match.Professional development opportunities and reimbursement.Company-provided laptop and technology stipend.Join UsIf you're looking for a rewarding career where you can use your accounting expertise to support organizations that make a difference, we'd love to hear from you Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to empowering nonprofits with financial excellence.We are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity.
