Involved in creating notebooks for moving data through the medallion architecture from raw to stage and then to curated zones using Databricks. Expert in data warehouse development starting from inception to implementation and ongoing support, strong understanding of BI application design and development principles using normalization and de-normalization techniques Involved in developing complex Azure Analysis Services tabular databases and deploying the same in Microsoft azure and scheduling the cube through Azure Automation Runbook. Extensive experience in developing tabular models, Aggregation, KPIs, Measures.Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs. Use Databricks and dbt to create gold reporting objects to be used by PowerBI dashboards. Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. Create data models and perform data transformations using Power Query and DAX. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation and quality checks. Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards. Document processes, data sources, and report specifications for future reference.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Min 5+ years' experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other BI tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView) is a plus. Reinsurance industry knowledge is preferred. Excellent knowledge of Azure cloud services and data warehousing concepts. Excellent knowledge of Databricks and dbt.
