Are you detail-oriented with a strong background in customer service and administrative support? We are looking for a Loan Processing Specialist to help manage mortgages and loan applications. This one-year contract role offers a fast-paced environment where your multitasking skills and attention to detail will shine. You'll be collaborating with customers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. There is also strong potential for permanent placement based on performance. If you enjoy working independently in a structured environment and have a customer-first approach, we'd love to hear from youRole & Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:Manage loan applications from submission through closing, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for our customers.Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and external partners to gather and verify all necessary documentation (such as employment verification, credit reports, appraisals, title searches, and bank statements).Identify and address any inconsistencies or missing information in loan files, ensuring compliance with mortgage guidelines.Monitor loan conditions and collaborate closely with underwriting teams to resolve outstanding issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records, adhering to internal policies and regulatory standards.Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing commitment letters and coordinating with closing teams.Skills & Experience:Qualifications for Success:Associate's degree and at least 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry, OR 3 years of relevant administrative or customer service experience.Alternatively, six months of mortgage processing experience with M&T Bank and 6-12 months of additional experience in customer service, operations, or financial services.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to navigate loan processing software.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage a high volume of loan applications.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in loan processing, underwriting, or the financial services industry.A self-motivated, results-driven approach with the ability to handle tasks with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.Employment Type: Full-TimeSalary: $ 22.00 25.00 Per Hour
