Job Title: Tower Foreman MODS Location: Seattle, Washington Summary:The Tower Foreman MODS will lead all aspects of tower installations, including all antennas and transmission lines. The position requires construction duties on a daily basis, ensuring quality construction from the foundation to the erection of lattice towers, monopoles, and guyed towers. The Tower Foreman must be a certified climber who can travel away from home up to 75% of the time. Responsibilities:Direct and supervise the installation, removal, and maintenance of telecommunications equipmentProvide positive supervision and leadership to the crew from the beginning of a project through completion, ensuring safety and quality standards, budget, and timelinesTroubleshoot alarms/RSSI issues at sites using supplied sweep gearPerform electrical down tilts and mechanical down tilts to a variety of antennas using supplied antenna controller unitsRun jumpers as needed to complete ongoing scopes of workDevise jumper connections with knowledge from connector trainingComplete required equipment and supply paperworkClimb communications structures, including guyed, self-supporting, monopoles, building/rooftops, grain silos, etc.Perform audits for safety, defects, and qualityFollow daily instructions and complete required paperwork and printoutsCoordinate material drop-off and pick-up and schedule site access with landlordsCollect and submit all closeout documentation per the deliverable timelinesIdentify areas of improvement for crew and make training recommendations to management as requiredMaintain tool inventory and upkeep daily on the job siteRead site plans and tower drawingsUtilize hand and power tools and other resources to perform general construction work at cellular sites Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent4-8 years of related experience preferredCertified Tower Climber via Gravitec Systems, Inc. or ComTrain requiredRescue certification and OSHA 30 requiredFamiliarity with using PIM gear and PIM troubleshootingTrained in the use of aerial liftsComputer and Microsoft Office proficiencyAbility to meet strict deadlinesAbility to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety proceduresMust have a BYOD policy-compliant cell phone Recommended Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Working knowledge of Microwave equipmentAbility to troubleshoot and fix connectors and Antenna systemsAbility to install coaxial cable on towers, rooftop, or any structureExperience in completing full grounding installations, tower demolition, tower stripping, and painting (erect and horizontal)Knowledge of standard knotsAbility to lead lower-level employeesAbility to work closely with others and be a team playerFamiliarity with Anritsu certification and TMO experiencePast Verizon experience or RTWP experience a plus Physical Demands:Ability to lift up to 60 poundsAbility to talk, listen, sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crawlAbility to climb and crawl in ladder racking if necessaryAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to endure harsh weather including but not limited to hot, cold, rain, and snowAbility to see the full color spectrum in order to identify cable color codeCompliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment, and risk controlActive participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safetyIdentification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
