Construction/Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and want to make an impact in the commercial construction space.Role Overview:As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, document control, safety, and quality. You'll manage multiple projects within both General Contracting (GC) and Construction Management (CMa) sectors, working with teams across Florida. Reporting to the Vice President, you will be responsible for the coordination and integration of various stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.Key Responsibilities:Manage all construction activities, coordinating with division leaders and project teams to ensure smooth execution.Collaborate with site Superintendents to determine the most efficient and cost-effective construction methods and schedules.Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure their satisfaction.Review project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with plans and schedules.Assist in preparing job estimates and interpreting bid documents.Write subcontracts and purchase order requisitions as needed.Establish, track, and manage project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met in collaboration with the Superintendent.Oversee the submittal and RFI processes, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.Manage project budgets to ensure financial success and report on job costs.Collaborate with the team to implement strategies that improve productivity and reduce costs.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and monitor the site for adherence to safety standards.Conduct regular site visits to coordinate with the site Superintendent.Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects, communicating directly with project owners and teams.Attend project meetings and provide updates on project status.Skills and Qualifications:Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.Experience with contracts and the construction procurement process.Ability to interpret job estimates, drawings, and specifications.Solid communication skills for drafting reports, business letters, and summaries.Excellent organizational skills to coordinate projects, teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.Attention to detail and the ability to think critically and find alternative solutions when needed.Experience & Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.At least 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage).OSHA 10 or 30 certification (must be obtained within the first 60 days if not already held).Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.Travel:Approximately 30% of the time will involve travel to oversee projects across Florida.
