All members are paramedics operating under the South Cook County EMS System. Many also serve on specialty rescue teams such as Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue, and Dive Teams.The department is part of MABAS Division 24 and the Third Fire District, collaborating with 20 municipalities for mutual aid in major incidents. Automatic aid on structure fires is provided by neighboring departments.
