Anderson Custom Processing is searching for an Assistant Plant Manager with a food science or food safety background to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The Assistant Plant Manager will assist in overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They will help develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity in our Little Falls, MN Facility.Responsibilities;1. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectations2. Maintain production levels, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards3. Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping4. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results5. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus6. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions7. Share a trusting relationship with work group and recruit, manage and develop plant staff8. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime9. Commit to plant safety procedures10. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets11. Address employees issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements12. Influence and learn from below13. Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and conceptsSkills:Proven work experience as a lead personProven managerial experienceAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertiseBe knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processesComputer literacyAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleStrong team building, decision-making and people management skillsBS degree in Business Management, Food Science, or related field preferredSalary: Commensurate with Experience/YearlyEmployment Type: Full-Time
