Together, we can drive meaningful change, spark innovation, and achieve extraordinary milestones. **About the Role**We are seeking an experienced **Customer Service Engineer (System Administrator)** to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive onsite and remote IT support to employees and contractors using government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. Support is provided across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations, including areas with a high cost of living or under-supported economic conditions. **Key Responsibilities**- Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot computer systems and equipment to ensure optimal operation and user satisfaction.- Provide both remote and desk-side technical support, responding to IT support tickets and conducting diagnostic and repair activities on hardware and software components.- Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, interfacing with other software applications, compiling reports, and addressing customer requests.- Support Active Directory maintenance, connectivity, client applications, and configuration of local and wide area network services.- Monitor open tickets in the VA's ServiceNow incident ticketing system, ensuring adherence to business processes, and propose corrective actions when necessary.- Work in an environment that involves both sedentary and active elements, requiring careful handling of electronic components and adherence to safety precautions.- Utilize debugging protocols and processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.**Location**Iowa City Federal Building **Salary Range**$28.37/hr - $32.69/hr **Travel Requirements**- Occasional travel may be required for surge capacity support, which could last up to two (2) weeks.- Overtime is not authorized, including for surge capacity.- Employees are reimbursed for work-related travel expenses, with per diem provided for meals and lodging based on GSA Per Diem Rates.**Health Requirements**This position supports the **Veterans Health Administration (VHA)** and may require compliance with facility-specific vaccination and testing requirements, including:- Vaccines: COVID-19, Influenza, Measles Mumps & Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis B, and/or Varicella.- Testing: Tuberculosis.Candidates may be required to provide proof of current vaccinations and testing, with guidance provided on required documentation and reasonable accommodation requests. **Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Electronics Engineering**, or a related technical discipline.- **2+ years of relevant experience** (8 additional years of experience may be substituted for education).- Experience in conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs.- Familiarity with debugging protocols and processes.- Proficiency in IT principles, Microsoft Office applications, and system administration in a Windows environment.- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and navigate facility spaces to access and repair equipment.**Clearance Requirement**- Must be a **U.S. Citizen** or **Green Card Holder**.- Willing and able to obtain a **Public Trust Suitability clearance**.**Benefits**We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:- **Competitive compensation**- **Paid time off and healthcare benefits**- **401(k) with employer match**- **Supplemental benefits and discount perks**- **Education reimbursement for certifications, degrees, and professional development**- **Flexibility to pursue courses and certifications for career growth**- **Opportunities for networking and professional development**- **A positive and engaging work culture with social events, wellness programs, and charity initiatives** **Commitment to Equal Opportunity**We are an **equal opportunity employer** committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.
