We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. In this role, you will be responsible for developing leads and originating mortgage loans through various channels, including branch offices, real estate agents, and builders. Additionally, you will respond to referrals from branch personnel and other sources.Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of mortgage regulations, processes, and other banking products. Your ability to build relationships with customers will be key in offering solutions that meet their needs. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential. You should also be able to independently make sound decisions and navigate complex instructions, technical details, and financial forms.Key Responsibilities:Develop and originate mortgage loans through branch offices, realtors, and builders.Interview loan applicants to understand their needs and qualifications.Process loan applications and ensure necessary documentation is complete.Send applications to the loan processing team for further action.Respond to referrals from branch personnel and others.Assist in gathering additional information requested by the processing team.Cross-sell a variety of banking products and services to customers, building lasting relationships.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (MBA or Master's Degree is a plus).A minimum of 2 years of lending experience preferred.Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to integrity and flexibility.Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.Able to stay composed in high-pressure situations and work flexible hours.What We Offer:401(k) Plan with a 6% matchHealth/Dental/Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life InsuranceTuition ReimbursementFitness ReimbursementPaid Time Off (PTO)Volunteer LeavePaid HolidaysAnd many more employee benefits and incentivesWe believe in not just providing banking services, but in being the financial support that our customers can rely on.
