Full job descriptionAutomotive Service Technician / MechanicMB Motors in Bellingham is now accepting applications for a full-time Automotive Service Technician. We are looking for a skilled technician to diagnose and repair used trucks and vehicles. An excellent technician must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various makes and models as well as follow all safety precautions. Very competitive pay for experienced mechanic. we have brand new shop and full brand new equipment, heated & AC shop.We are located 20mins drive north of Mt. Vernon. 700 Ohio st Bellingham WA 98225Responsibilities:Inspecting trucks and vehicles and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issuesConducting repairs aiming for maximum reliabilityTroubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform thorough maintenance on cars and trucksReplenish fluids and components of cars and trucksProvide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle usersUndertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, ordering parts etc.)Keep logs of work and report on issuesQualifications include:Proven experience as technicianMinimum of 5 years of automotive technician experienceExcellent knowledge of European makes, electrical and other systems and their componentsAptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers) and diagnostic equipmentAbility to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelinesVery good communication skillsA problem-solving abilityVery good physical strength and staminaHigh school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plusValid certification (e.g ASE) is preferredQualified candidates must pass a background check with a good driving record.Job Type & Benefits: Full-timePay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hourHealth InsuranceLife InsuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftWork Location: In person
