SUMMARY
Kennedy Valve is currently seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Finishing Scheduler/Supervisor. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager. Top level priority of the Finishing Scheduler/Supervisor is to develop and communicate daily production schedules that meet all company goals. These goals include on-time delivery, units per day and maintaining acceptable stock levels. This can consist of directing the day to day activities of up to 30 hourly employees.
JOB DUTIES
- Using information provided by Microsoft AX MRP system; develop realistic and achievable schedules that will be executed by multiple areas within the department.
- Coordinate the execution of the schedule, making changes as needed to meet our goal of 100% on time all the time.
- Work closely with sales department, communicating anticipated delivery information and adapting plans for expedite requests.
- Work closely with foundry and purchasing departments to ensure all materials, required for execution of the schedule, are available when needed.
- Collect and record daily on-time delivery information and identify opportunities for improvement based on the data.
- Responsible for reviewing stock policies and adjusting as needed to maintain on-time delivery goals.
- Identify and dispose of cancelled, excess and obsolete material.
- Work with VSM and area supervisors to provide support to hourly employees.
- Perform monthly safety inspections as assigned with a focus on improvements.
- Assure all Safety and Environmental training is up to date while promoting a people first environment where the expectation is to keep each other safe.
- Promote an environment of accountability and trust.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in leadership role within a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management preferred, but not required.
- Proficient user knowledge of MS Office programs; especially Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing for long periods of time, walking throughout the facility, ability to lift 50lbs as required.
Work Environment
- Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
- Work time is spent in a managerial office and on the manufacturing floor.
