Position OverviewAs a Director of Product Management for the Metadata Platform, you will be a critical leader in shaping the future of Atlan. You will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our metadata applications and platform, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated, highly usable, and deliver immediate business impact for our customers. This role requires a blend of technical depth, customer empathy, and strategic thinking to build a world-class metadata control plane and a thriving app ecosystem. You will lead a team of product managers focused on different aspects of the platform.
What will you do?
Build the Next-Generation Metadata Control Plane:
Develop a futuristic, scalable platform to elevate metadata management of enterprise data estate and streamline ecosystem-wide integration, including multi-cloud, on-prem, SaaS, AI applications, open format, and custom data systems.
Accelerate time-to-value by ensuring metadata applications are easy to adopt, highly functional, and deliver immediate business impact.
Advance Workflow Orchestration:
Lead the product roadmap for a cutting-edge workflow orchestration platform that seamlessly connects enterprise data estate with the Metadata Control Plane
Develop admin experiences for end-to-end workflow runs for visibility and provide customers with clear, transparent insights. Build user experience for metadata applications, collaborating with the design team to create intuitive and efficient workflows.
App Framework Development:
Engage and support developer communities, drive product adoption, and gather valuable feedback to inform App framework development.
Onboard third-party developers and partners to build and integrate apps on Atlan's metadata control plane, fostering a thriving developer ecosystem.
Implement tools, processes, and best practices, focusing on improving efficiency and developer satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
What makes you a great match for us?
Experience: Proven experience in product management, particularly with platform or enterprise products. Experience developing data integration products is a significant plus. Experience in leading a team of product managers.
Technical Skills: Strong technical background and understanding of metadata applications, adapters, APIs, data integration methodologies, and modern data stack tools.
Customer-Centric Approach: Deep empathy for customers, with a track record of delivering solutions that improve onboarding, drive adoption, and create measurable value and impact.
Developer Empathy: Proven experience working with developer-facing products (external and internal) or similar.
Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Analytics & Design: Strong analytical and visualisation skills, with a focus on user experience and interface design.
Organisation: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of organisation.
