Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee plumbing and piping projects from award through closeout. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of plumbing/piping systems, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing job costs and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Setup & Planning

  • Review estimates, bid documents, contracts, and scope upon job award
  • Set up job files, schedules, SOVs, billing requirements, and submittals
  • Lead project turnover meetings with estimator, foreman, and safety team
  • Confirm job-specific safety and quality requirements

Project Execution & Oversight

  • Manage projects from start to finish to ensure timely, on-budget delivery
  • Walk job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and safety
  • Coordinate with clients, GCs, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and proactively propose solutions
  • Review and manage RFIs, procurement logs, and change orders
  • Ensure all work meets contract documents, codes, and company standards

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Review job costs weekly and track labor, material, and change orders
  • Compare costs to original estimate and forecast cost to complete
  • Prepare and present monthly job cost reports, including projected profit/loss
  • Notify clients immediately of potential cost or schedule impacts

Leadership & Communication

  • Work closely with field leadership to support productivity and quality
  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce safe work practices
  • Maintain clear, professional communication both written and verbal

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing/piping industry project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing/piping systems and construction processes
  • Experience with construction scheduling and project management software
  • Proven background in job costing, budgeting, and profit/loss projections
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • PM training or certification (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
