Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Location: Worcester, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview:
A respected, nationally recognized real estate development and construction management firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale multifamily residential projects in Worcester, MA. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of urban construction, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to drive schedules and performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through final punch list and turnover.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Maintain and monitor project schedules, ensuring critical milestones and deadlines are met.
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and maintain progress.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks or delays and implement corrective measures to maintain momentum.
- Maintain detailed records including daily logs, safety reports, RFIs, and change orders.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for internal teams, ownership groups, and consultants.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on multifamily residential or mixed-use construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage urban, mid- to high-rise wood frame or concrete podium construction.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and scheduling software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140, $160,000.00 per year
